We had a discussion on why we should go to university recently. This is what it shows.
Some students have many colourful dreams and regard universities as most interesting places. However, the university life in reality would often make them feel very disappointed. Some students think good jobs and higher pay will certainly result from a college education and therefore, it’s easier to obtain higher social positions. Yet after gradation, many of them would find the jobs aren’t the ones they like and the pay is no higher than they expected.
But I think one of the most important reasons why universities still have a strong attraction is that a university provides good chances for those who are eager to learn more knowledge

As is known to all, there are many schools that have spent a great deal of money— several million or tens of millions— on a tremendous gate. People have different opinions about this. Some consider it worthy while some think it is a waste of money.
As far as I am concerned, such an expensive gate is unreasonable. I’m firmly against it because millions of yuan are too much for a gate. The money from the students should be used on more important things. If I were a headmaster, I would use the money to help the poor students, to improve the teaching and learning conditions, to invite good teachers. The image of a school doesn’t come from a gate, but from good quality of students and teachers.

As we can see in the picture, a father is anxiously looking for his son addicted to online games. It seems that he has great trouble finding the boy because the street is full of cyber centers and he hardly knows in which one his son is enjoying games. Nowadays, more and more cyber centers are being opened under cover of improving intelligence. In reality, these are places where large numbers of teenagers run into online chat or games and can rarely be pulled out.
